Project Overview:
Mechanical services installation for a mixed-use development comprising 33 residential apartments together with retail and commercial space. The project included plantroom redesign, renewable heating infrastructure, water services, drainage installations, testing and certification works.

Works Completed:

* Installation of LTHW (Low Temperature Hot Water) and BCWS (Boosted Cold Water Services) risers in screwed steel pipework.
* Redesigned the plantroom layout from schematic drawings and completed the full installation after identifying that the original plantroom was undersized and unsuitable for the proposed design.
* Installation of air source heat pumps (ASHPs) at roof level, including all associated framing and Big Foot support systems.
* Full installation of the tank room, including booster set, Category 5 water storage tank and triple pump set.
* Installation of all plumbing services and underground drainage systems serving the retail and commercial areas.
* Carried out final testing, commissioning and certification of all LTHW, BCWS and HWS services, including systems serving the 33 residential apartments.
* Repaired and air-tested all soil vent pipe (SVP) systems installed by others, providing certification and witnessing testing procedures with Building Control following the identification of defects within the original installation.
